In Remembrance of Eric Hallan

Instructors, TruTribe

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved TruTribe member, Eric Hallan. Eric was a proud member and teacher of TruFusion, who influenced the lives of many at TruFusion Summerlin, Scottsdale and beyond. Eric was deeply passionate about adventure sports and unfortunately lost his life at the age of 34 in a BASE jumping accident in Switzerland.

Son. Brother. Friend. Hero. Mentor. Adventurer. Wingsuiter AKA “Superman in a Dress.” These are just a few ways to describe Eric, whose energy and smile were contagious beyond words. Whether you knew him for 8 minutes, 8 months or 8 years, you are different because of it.

Eric lived life on the Edge and always challenged others to Find Their Edge, on and off the mat. He lead by example and viewed every day as an adventurous gift.  Eric could often be found leaping out of planes and off bridges, soaring above the clouds, climbing mountains, racing his rocket ship around town, pole dancing (like no one was watching), stilt walking, computer building, drink slinging, bell swinging and battle rope slamming. His energy made even the most mundane tasks exciting.

Eric was quick to hug and slow to judge. Most importantly, he wouldn’t want us to be sad. He would want us to take a page out of his book — to live fearlessly.  His love for life will always be remembered in our hearts and minds.

Eric’s family has created a Go Fund Me page in his memory. TruFusion Scottsdale will celebrate the life and legacy of Eric on Friday, September 13th at 12 pm with a $5 community drop-in Barefoot Bootcamp class.  Proceeds will be donated in Eric’s memory.

Blue skies forever, Eric. Keep flying. Your TruTribe loves you.
